What is Bromelain?

Bromelain is made of two protein-digesting, extracted enzymes that break down protein. It can be the enzymes individually or a combination of the enzymes.

These are the two enzymes:

  • Stem Bromelain – Extracted from the pineapple stem.
  • Fruit Bromelain – Extracted from the pineapple fruit.

The current uses of bromelain:

  • Removal of dead tissue
  • Gel treatment for burn wounds
  • Cancer research
  • Nasal and sinusitis relief research
  • Cardiovascular research

Possible properties of bromelain:

  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Antithrombotic
  • Eliminate unwanted cells
  • Absorbable by humans without losing it’s properties
