
What is Bromelain?
Bromelain is made of two protein-digesting, extracted enzymes that break down protein. It can be the enzymes individually or a combination of the enzymes.
These are the two enzymes:
- Stem Bromelain – Extracted from the pineapple stem.
- Fruit Bromelain – Extracted from the pineapple fruit.
The current uses of bromelain:
- Removal of dead tissue
- Gel treatment for burn wounds
- Cancer research
- Nasal and sinusitis relief research
- Cardiovascular research
Possible properties of bromelain:
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antithrombotic
- Eliminate unwanted cells
- Absorbable by humans without losing it’s properties
